ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Giulia Giupponi is Assistant Professor of Economics in the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Bocconi University. Her research interests are in the areas of Labor and Public Economics, with a focus on social insurance programs, minimum wage policy and labor market inequalities. She was a Post-doctoral Fellow at the Institute for Fiscal Studies. She received a Ph.D. in Economics from the London School of Economics.
Current areas of research include:
- Labour market institutions: minimum wages and company wage policies; employment effects of minimum wages.
- Social insurance: employment and welfare effects of short-time work schemes; labour supply effects of social insurance.
