Adam Smith’s Panmure House is bringing Fringe Festival hit and famed Bloomberg financial writer Merryn Somerset Webb to Dubai this February. We are thrilled to invite you to an enlightening and thought-provoking panel: The Butcher, The Brewer, The Baker and Merryn Somerset Webb on Wednesday 5 February 2025 at our Dubai Campus, classroom 5.09.
Hosted by Bloomberg's Merryn Somerset Webb and featuring leaders of industry, investment and academia, this Bloomberg and Panmure House event will delve into the complexities of our current economy, challenging narratives and explore pathways to meaningful solutions through the prism of Adam Smith and his most famous quotations. The panel discussion will also be recorded and released as part of Bloomberg's podcast series ‘Merryn Talks Money’.
Merryn Somerset Webb is Editor at large, Bloomberg Wealth, and previously Editor in Chief of Moneyweek, the UK’s best selling financial magazine and Contributing Editor to the Financial Times where she had a weekly column. Merryn still has a monthly column in Moneyweek as well as previous columns for Evening Standard and Sunday Times.
Part of Heriot-Watt University's Edinburgh Business School, our mission at Adam Smith's Panmure House is to provide world-influencing social and economic debate and research, convening in the name of Adam Smith to effect positive change and forge global, future-focused networks.
