DIRECTOR
Alex Webster is a freelance documentary director who has worked for the BBC, Channel 4 as well as numerous online outlets. He has worked with personalities such as Boris Johnson, Louis Theroux, Cerys Matthews and Leo Maguire. Prior to TV, he worked in journalism and foreign affairs, specialising in Arabic and International Relations.

Presented by comedian and financial writer Dominic Frisby, this one-hour feature documentary stars Jimmy Carr, Al Murray, Shazia Mirza, Henning Wehn and Arthur Smith. Father of the Fringe features original footage of the first edition of Wealth of Nations shot in the very room where Smith completed it and many more unique surprises. It is shot in scenic locations in and about Edinburgh and Glasgow, as well as at Panmure House, where Smith lived for the last 12 years of his life.
